Kim Kardashian buys Princess Diana’s amethyst cross necklace for $200K

Kim Kardashian acquired Princess Diana’s iconic amethyst-and-diamond cross necklace via a Sotheby’s auction for a cool $197,453, Page Six Style confirmed Wednesday.

According to a Sotheby’s press release, four bidders competed for the piece in the last five minutes of the auction house’s annual Royal & Noble sale; it ultimately wound up in the hands of a Kardashian rep “at more than double its pre-auction estimate.”

We are delighted that this piece has found a new lease of life within the hands of another globally famous name,” Kristian Spofforth, the head of jewelry at Sotheby’s London, shared in a statement.

Dubbed the Attallah Cross, the gem-encrusted bauble was famously worn by the late Princess of Wales at a 1987 charity gala in London, pairing it with a matching black-and-purple velvet Catherine Walker dress.

The bling was a bold move on Diana’s part, and she’s believed to have worn the pendant on her own string of pearls.

The cross-shaped pendant — thought to be a one-off private commission by Garrard for one of their regular clients — is a bold and colorful piece set with square-cut amethysts and accented by circular-cut diamonds,” the Sotheby’s press release states. “The cross has a total diamond weight of approximately 5.25 carats and measures approximately 136 x 95mm.

Naim Attallah CBE purchased the piece from Garrard in the 1980s, and lent it to Diana several times for events. Per the release, “It is understood that the cross was only ever worn by the Princess, and following her death, it was never seen in public again until now.”

Very few people could carry an unusual piece like this off, but Princess Diana certainly could,” Maxwell Stone of UK-based Steven Stone Jewelers previously told Page Six Style.

“Though amethyst traditionally represents the privilege of royalty, Diana’s choice to wear the pendant with an unusually long chain encapsulates her knack for showcasing her collection of royal jewels in a unique way, unafraid to go against tradition and alter lavish pieces.”

Kardashian, 40, is known for her love of historical fashion. She famously wore Marilyn Monroe’s “Happy Birthday, Mr. President” dress to the 2022 Met Gala.

The so-called “World’s Most Expensive Dress” was debuted by Monroe when she serenaded John F. Kennedy during his 45th birthday celebration at Madison Square Garden in 1962.

She was largely criticized for being allowed to wear the style artifact, though Kardashian claims she didn’t damage the garment and returned the gown in perfect condition.

Rapper Flo Rida Wins $82 Million In Lawsuit Against Celsius Energy Drinks

Rapper Flo Rida, best known for his hits like “Low” and “Right Round,” was awarded more than $82 million on Wednesday by a Florida jury in his lawsuit against Celsius energy drinks, after he claimed the company owed him money and stock options over an endorsement deal.

Flo Rida, whose real name is Tramar Dillard, was awarded $82,640,450 in damages.

Flo Rida’s team initially sought at leasht $30,000 in damages, according to Insider, though his lawyer said in closing arguments he wanted the 1% ownership of the company he was previously promised, and not necessarily a dollar amount, according to Law&Crime

Over $27 million of the damages represent 250,000 shares in Celsius the rapper said he was owed by the company.

The jury found that Celsius breached its 2014 agreement with Flo Rida, and fraudulently concealed information relating to the breach.

Flo Rida signed an endorsement deal with Celsius in 2014, and renewed it in 2016. In 2021, the rapper sued the brand, claiming he was not given stock options and other bonuses he was promised in his contract with them. These bonuses were promised if certain sales achievements were met, however, Flo Rida’s team argued the contract was vague, which prevented him from cashing in on them. "He's entitled to 500,000 shares of stock via the contract, and entitled to 250,000 shares of stock if certain things happen—one of those yardsticks is that a certain number of units of products need to be sold, but unfortunately the contract doesn't specify which type of unit—is it a box, is it a drink? And there's no timeframe or deadline," lawyer John Uustal told Insider. Flo Rida said he was also not privy to the Celsius’ financials, and he was not alerted when the company surpassed such goals, and didn’t know that he did. Lawyers for Celsius had argued in documents that the statute of limitations for Flo Rida to bring the complaint had passed, and that its deal with him had ended in 2018. Flo Rida claimed his endorsement of the brand helped them rise to success. Shares of Celsius Inc. Holdings trade at over $100.

Todd and Julie Chrisley report to federal prisons to begin sentences

Reality TV stars Todd and Julie Chrisley are now in the custody of federal prison officials, according to their attorney Alex Little.

The couple, who last month were sentenced in November to prison for fraud and tax crimes, reported to their assigned prisons in Florida and Kentucky before the deadline on Tuesday, which was noon local time, Little told CNN.

Todd Chrisley is serving 12 years at FPC Pensacola, a minimum-security facility in Pensacola, Florida.

Julie Chrisley is serving her seven-year sentence at FMC Lexington, Kentucky, which is described as an “administrative security federal medical center with an adjacent minimum security satellite camp” on the prison’s website.

The Chrisleys, known for their reality program “Chrisley Knows Best,” were found guilty in June in a Georgia court for conspiring to defraud banks out of more than $30 million in fraudulent loans.

The couple and their accountant were also convicted of several tax crimes, including attempting to defraud the IRS and evade collection of delinquent taxes, according to the Department of Justice.

The Chrisleys maintain their innocence and are appealing their cases.

Kylie Jenner Wore the Shortest Romper and Knee-High Boots for a Photoshoot in the Middle of Nowhere

It's giving Windows XP screensaver vibes
The KarJenner sisters are known for taking photos in some very questionable locations (see: their public restroom snapshots from several years ago, or the time Kim staged an Instagram photoshoot inside an outdated home that definitely wasn't hers). But Kylie's latest photo-op might be the most head-scratching of all, with followers questioning, "where in the world is Kylie Jenner?"
On Monday, the makeup mogul shared a slideshow of pictures of herself posing in a field of grassy hills seemingly far from her native Calabasas. In the snaps, which were captioned "kyventures," Kylie wore a super-short black romper with a back cutout and a pair of matching knee-high boots. She pulled her dark hair back into a sleek bun to reveal a pair of tiny silver hoops earrings below, and she sported full-on glam — including dark nude lipstick and a generous amount of highlighter.

While many of the comments on Kylie's post were about where she took the photos (it's a toss between the real-life Windows XP screensaver field or Teletubbie's Tubby Hill), sister Kim Kardashian, ever the businesswoman, called her out for wearing a look from her brand and not mentioning it in her post.

Kylie said, hinting that she didn't receive a promo box of goodies like everyone else did in the family.

Graceland Will Go to Lisa Marie Presley's Daughters Following Her Death

The fate of Graceland has been revealed. Following the shocking death of Lisa Marie Presley at age 54, the Presley family legacy will continue on.

Lisa Marie's rep has confirmed to ET that Graceland, the former home of her father, Elvis Presley, will go to her daughters -- 33-year-old Riley Keough and14-year-old  twins, Harper and Finley Lockwood.

Last week, Lisa Marie was rushed to the hospital after going into full cardiac arrest at her home in Calabasas, California. Responders performed CPR before transporting her to the hospital. Lisa Marie died shortly thereafter.

ET learned on Friday that Lisa Marie will be laid to rest alongside her father and other family members at Graceland. A rep for Lisa Marie's daughter, Riley Keough, told ET that the singer's final resting place will be at the estate in Memphis, Tennessee, next to her son, Benjamin, who died in 2020.

A public memorial service for Lisa Marie has been scheduled on the front lawn of Graceland at 9 a.m. on Sunday, Jan. 22 in Memphis. In lieu of flowers, the family encourages all who wish to send something to do so in the form of a donation to The Elvis Presley Charitable Foundation

In addition to Elvis and Benjamin, Elvis' parents, Vernon and Gladys, and his grandmother, Minnie Mae, are all buried at Graceland. There is also a smaller memorial stone for Elvis' twin brother, Jessie, who died at birth.

ET sat down with Lisa Marie at Graceland in 2013, where she opened up about the legacy of Elvis' legendary home and rumors about its future.

"It is absolutely 100 percent mine and it has always been mine, Graceland," she shared. "It will always be. And when it is no longer mine, it will be my children's. And that is that."

Lisa Marie also noted at the time that caring for and preserving Graceland, along with her father's legacy, was a "constant job."

"You have to keep striving for quality and preserving and being very protective," she said. "It's a non-stop focus and job for all of us."

As for her favorite memento or memory from Graceland, Lisa Marie said there were too many to pick just one. "Everything [in] there is kind of everything that was close to him or whatever, so it's all very important and meaningful," she noted.

Prince Harry criticized for "shifting to extremes" and "losing public" support, without information about specific actions or statements.

Prince Harry is a public figure and his actions and statements are subject to scrutiny and interpretation by the media and the public. It is not possible for me to determine whether he is "shifting to extremes" or "losing the public" without more information about the specific actions or statements in question. Additionally, public perception can change over time, so any statement about his current popularity would be subject to change.

Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle have recently stepped back from their roles as senior members of the British Royal Family and moved to North America. Since then, they have been making a number of public appearances, speeches and interviews. They have also been involved in various charitable and philanthropic initiatives. Some of the things they have said and done have been praised, while others have been criticized. Some people have praised their decision to step back from the royal family, saying that it allows them to live more authentic lives, while others have criticized them for being hypocritical or for not showing enough respect for the institution of the monarchy. Some people have also criticized Prince Harry for his recent comments on social media and in interviews, as they perceive them as divisive or extreme. However, it's worth noting that opinions on the matter are quite polarized and there are a lot of people who still support Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.
