Senate Ethics Panel Admonishes Sen. Lindsey Graham in Rare Move.

In a rare move, the Senate Ethics Panel has admonished Sen. Lindsey Graham for his handling of the Russia investigation during the 2016 election. The panel found that Graham, a Republican from South Carolina, had improperly interfered with the investigation, and had made statements that could be interpreted as intimidating witnesses.

The investigation focused on Graham's actions during the 2016 election, when he was a member of the Senate Judiciary Committee. The committee was investigating Russia's interference in the election, and the Trump campaign's potential involvement in that interference.

During the investigation, Graham made several public statements that were critical of the investigation, and that suggested he was more concerned with protecting the Trump campaign than with getting to the truth of the matter. He also made statements that suggested he had inside information about the investigation, which could have intimidated witnesses.

In its admonishment, the Ethics Panel said that Graham had "made statements that threatened to interfere with and undermine the investigation," and that he had "improperly used his position to advance his personal and political interests." The panel also said that Graham's conduct "fell well short of the ethical standards expected of a United States senator."

Graham's conduct during the Russia investigation has been controversial since the beginning. Many Democrats accused him of being too close to the Trump campaign, and of trying to protect the president from the investigation. Graham has denied these accusations, and has maintained that he was simply trying to get to the truth of the matter.

In a statement after the Ethics Panel's decision, Graham said that he respected the panel's decision, but that he disagreed with their findings. He also said that he had always acted in good faith during the investigation, and that he had never intended to interfere with it in any way.

The Ethics Panel's decision to admonish Graham is a rare move, and it reflects the seriousness of the allegations against him. It also serves as a reminder that even powerful politicians are not above the law, and that they must be held accountable for their actions.
