Pavelski leads Stars to victory over Kraken in Game 2.

In a thrilling matchup between the Dallas Stars and the Seattle Kraken, veteran forward Joe Pavelski once again proved to be the difference-maker. The Stars took Game 2 of their series against the Kraken with a 3-2 victory, thanks in large part to Pavelski's heroics.

Pavelski opened the scoring in the first period with a power-play goal, deflecting a shot from the point past Seattle goaltender Philipp Grubauer. The Kraken responded with a goal from forward Jared McCann later in the period, but Pavelski struck again early in the second period with his second power-play goal of the game.

The Kraken refused to go quietly, however, and tied the game once again midway through the second period with a goal from forward J.T. Miller. The game remained deadlocked until late in the third period, when Stars defenseman John Klingberg fired a wrist shot past Grubauer to give the Stars the lead for good.

Pavelski's two goals gave him six in the playoffs thus far, tied for the most in the league. The 36-year-old forward has been a key contributor for the Stars all season long, and his leadership and scoring touch have been instrumental in their playoff success.

The Stars will look to take a commanding 3-0 series lead when they face off against the Kraken in Game 3, with Pavelski once again expected to play a crucial role.
