Lampard secures first victory as Chelsea manager

Chelsea secured their first win of the Premier League season under the guidance of new manager Frank Lampard. The Blues defeated Norwich City 3-2 in a thrilling encounter at Carrow Road.

It was a historic day for Lampard as he picked up his first win as Chelsea boss. The former midfielder was appointed in the summer to replace Maurizio Sarri, who left for Juventus after a single season at Stamford Bridge.

Lampard's first few games in charge had been frustrating, with Chelsea losing to Manchester United and drawing against Leicester City. However, the win against Norwich will be a huge relief for the young manager, who has had to contend with a transfer ban and the departure of star player Eden Hazard.

The victory was built on the back of a stunning performance from Tammy Abraham, who scored two goals and provided an assist. The young striker had been criticized for his performance in the Super Cup defeat to Liverpool, but he answered his critics in style with a clinical display in front of goal.

Chelsea's win was not without drama, as Norwich twice came back from behind to level the scores. However, Lampard's side showed great character to keep pushing for a winner, and they were rewarded when Abraham scored his second goal of the game in the 68th minute.

The win will give Chelsea a much-needed boost ahead of a tough run of fixtures, including games against Sheffield United, Wolverhampton Wanderers, and Liverpool. Lampard will be hoping that this victory is the start of a successful tenure at the club, and that he can build a team that is capable of challenging for silverware in the coming years.
