Cruz and Cantwell wager beer on Stars-Kraken series.

In a friendly wager between senators from Texas and Washington state, Ted Cruz and Maria Cantwell have bet beer on the outcome of the NHL playoff series between the Dallas Stars and Seattle Kraken.



The bet was initiated by Senator Cantwell, who represents Washington and the new Kraken franchise. Senator Cruz, who represents Texas and the Dallas Stars, accepted the wager, and the terms were set: the losing senator will provide the winning senator with a six-pack of beer from a local brewery in their respective states.

The Stars and Kraken will face off in the first round of the playoffs, marking the Kraken's first postseason appearance in their inaugural season. Both teams finished with similar records, but the Kraken have home-ice advantage for the series.
