Man United beat Everton 2-0 to move up to third place in the Premier League.

Manchester United claimed an important 2-0 victory over Everton on Saturday to climb up to third place in the Premier League table. Goals from Edinson Cavani and Bruno Fernandes secured the three points for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side.

The match started with both teams creating chances, but it was United who broke the deadlock in the 24th minute. Marcus Rashford's cross was met by Cavani, who headed the ball past Everton goalkeeper Jordan Pickford.

Everton tried to find an equalizer, but United's defense held strong. David de Gea made some important saves to keep a clean sheet for the Red Devils.

In the 45th minute, Fernandes doubled United's lead with a stunning strike from outside the box. The Portuguese midfielder received the ball from Luke Shaw and unleashed a powerful shot that went past Pickford and into the net.

The second half saw Everton push for a goal, but United's defense stood firm. Mason Greenwood had a chance to make it 3-0, but his shot was saved by Pickford.

The win takes Manchester United up to third place in the Premier League table, one point behind second-placed Leicester City and nine points behind leaders Manchester City. The Red Devils will be hoping to continue their good form in the upcoming matches as they aim to secure a top-four finish and qualify for the Champions League.

Overall, it was a solid performance from United, with the likes of Cavani, Fernandes, and Rashford impressing. Everton, on the other hand, will be disappointed with the result and will need to bounce back in their next game.
