Funny Girl with Lea Michele to End Its Broadway Run in June

The Broadway production of Funny Girl, starring Lea Michele, will end its run in June.

The show, which opened in April 2016, will close on June 26, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The show has been playing to sold-out crowds since its opening night.

Michele, who plays Fanny Brice in the show, has received rave reviews for her performance. She has also been nominated for a Tony Award for Best Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role in a Musical.

The show's producers said in a statement, "We are so proud of the production and the incredible performances of Lea Michele and the entire cast. We are grateful to everyone who has supported the show and we look forward to celebrating its final weeks on Broadway."

The show's closing will mark the end of an era for Broadway, as Funny Girl was one of the last remaining shows from the golden age of musicals.
