Kings Win Record-Breaking Shootout Against Clippers

 



The Sacramento Kings outlasted the Los Angeles Clippers in the second-highest scoring game in NBA history, winning a wild affair 163-158 in double overtime on Sunday night.

The 321 combined points were the most in a regulation game since the Detroit Pistons and Denver Nuggets combined for 330 points in 1983.

The Kings were led by De'Aaron Fox, who scored a career-high 39 points and added 11 assists. Buddy Hield added 33 points and Harrison Barnes had 30 points and 11 rebounds.


The Clippers were led by Kawhi Leonard, who had a triple-double with 37 points, 12 rebounds and 11 assists. Lou Williams added 33 points and Montrezl Harrell had 30 points and 11 rebounds.

The game featured a total of 11 lead changes and 11 ties, with neither team leading by more than seven points at any point. The Kings outscored the Clippers in the second overtime period, 16-9, to secure the win.
